Sigman was a star in Narcos (2015), S.W.A.T. (2017) and the second season of both series. Sigman was the daughter of an Mexican mother, and an American father, Lee Sigman (a New York Yankees Scout from Kansas), who were both born in Ciudad Obregon. Sigman is a U.S. citizen through her father. [2][3][4]She is an U.S. citizen through her father. Her brother and the baseball player Kenneth Ray Sigman married actress Barbara Mori Sigman. Before making her film debut in Rio de Oro, she started her career as a Mexican TV actress. She played the role of Laura Guerrero, the lead in Miss Bala, a Mexican crime drama film. The film was picked as the Mexican entry in the Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards. it was not included on the final shortlist. 9 Sigman was nominated for the Dublin Film Critics Circle Award in 2011, for her performance in the film. In 2011, she was in Catalina Aguado, the Canadian documentary film Flight of the Butterflies. 2013 saw Sigman play the role of Catalina Aguado in the Norwegian thriller Pioneer
