Amal Clooney

Amal Clooney was born in Beirut, Lebanon. The Arabic word that means "hope" is'ml. Her family fled Lebanon at the age of two at a time of civil war in Lebanon which led them to move to Gerrards Cross Buckinghamshire. Ramzi Alamuddin received his MBA at the American University of Beirut. Ramzi Alamuddin was a Lebanese Druze and was from Baakline village. It was a part of the Alam al-Din Dynasty of Chouf District. After the civil war ended in 1991, he returned to Lebanon.
